Yeeeeeeah! That's what I'm talkin' about. No longer in Obeseville, and as Jack put it, I'm at the outskirts of Overweight City. Which isn't fabulous either, but dammit, it's awesome for me!!
I cannot stress enough how wonderful it is to see a loss almost every single week again. I really hit a rough patch where I was up down up down. It got kind of depressing, but I'm so proud that I was able to stick with it and move past all that. It's all about the exercise, really.
If you're thinking that you may want to begin exercise, take my advice: as someone who counted walking from the bedroom to the kitchen in the morning as exercise, you can work your way up to daily exercise like me. You just have to take baby steps. Every single weekday I get up and go on my "epic walk" as I used to call it- this epic walk is three miles long and has a huuuuuge hill. That hill used to kick my ass! Now I don't even break a sweat. You can do it.
But, as WW teaches, it's not just one thing that makes for successful weight loss. You have to have your water, watch your portions, track, exercise, talk about it with people (meetings) and feel mentally and spiritually ready to change yourself *and* accept yourself changed. Personally, I feel like I am starting to look a little bit like a deflated ballon- my stomach is flat and tiny, but it's still jiggly. I accept that. All it will take is a little strength training and I'll be perfect in only half a year. I accept that walking alone is not going to get my the perfect body, and to be honest, the perfect body is unattainable. The perfect body is in your head.
It feels so good to be back on track- really on track- again. I made a new set of goals for myself that I have hanging above my computer screen. They are:
205.0 - 30 pounds lost
200.0 - 35 pounds lost
199.9 - ONEderland hahahaha Oh man that one kills me every time
196.9 - No longer "obese"
195.0 - 40 pounds gone
193.0 - Lost all office job weight - lowest weight I have been in my adult life
192.5 - Lost 1/2 my excess weight that I need to lose
190.0 - 45 pounds gone
189.9 - AWESOME!!! I'll probably cry when I see this number
188.0 - 20% body weight lost
185.0 - 50 pounds gone
Ahhhhhh! The potential!!! I'm stoked.
As for the Hot 100 Challenge, I am doing well! Only 11.2 pounds to go :)
Everyone have a super-awesome weekend. You deserve it :)
