Flatline

I didn't gain an ounce this week. I didn't lose anything either- I was exactly the same weight I was last week.

I cannot believe how much crap I ate this week. Hell, I didn't even track on Thursday and Friday, and believe me, there was no lucky hot dog dinner on my agenda.

I am also amazed that I gained nothing. Not one ounce. Chinese Buffet, pizza, cream-based soups, snack foods, breakfast croissants, and french fries all went into my mouth this week. Granted, I kept my portions under strict control; however, I'll be the first person to say that I definitely overate. I don't normally eat these types of foods, and I rarely had a fruit or veggie at all in the the past seven days.

It was the exercise that did it.

I get about 35 to 40 AP's every week now, thanks to my upgraded exercise schedule (read: walking for 1 hour 15 minutes every weekday, walking 2 hours both Saturday and Sunday.) I know it sounds silly, but I didn't think simply walking would have such an impact on my weight loss (or at least non-gain as it applied to this weigh-in.)

So, as is the grand tradition of me, I always have a really good week after a bad week. I am being super-ultra good this weekend... Saturdays set the standard for how my entire week will go, so I'm really focusing on making today a very, very good day.

As for the Hot 100 Challenge... hey, I didn't gain ;) I will be down 50 pounds total by the end of the year, though, no doubt about it. All I have to do is drop 14.2 pounds in the next three months. I can do this, no problem.

Everyone have a good weekend :)

  1. Congrats on not gaining at least! I'm sure it's all the exercize that did it. Keep it up!

  2. Jess, I have no doubt you can do it, be careful though not to let the weeks slip by. Don't take that too harshly, I just know what has happened to me in the past. You are right in being pleased with your weight staying the same, it is much better than going up! Keep up the good work!

  3. Steve, you are so right. It's those itsy bitsy slip-ups that add up to major road blocks, just as the itsy bitsy victories lead to major success. Thanks for the honesty :)

  4. I swear, you're the fourth person (counting me) who spent this weekend in a food-fest, LOL. What's up with that? But yeah, I'm back on track myself. And congrats on maintaining your current loss with the exercise -- that's awesome!
