New Beginnings

After a 3+ gain on Saturday, I decided it was time to finally change something. I am so sick and tired of this weight loss roller coaster, and it's all my own damn fault. So I actually listened to my leader at my meeting: she told everyone to pick two habits they could change over the next month that will help with our weight loss. My two habits:

1. Instead of "trying" to exercise in the afternoon (when it's insanely hot and even the house is stifling so there's no way I'm jumping on my treadmill) I'm getting my walking out of the way in the morning. My dad and I woke up at 5 AM today, got 1 hour 15 minutes walking out of the way, and it's done. I don't have to worry about it, it's nice and cool, and I don't have to make excuses. Plus I'll be getting more APs than ever.
2. Fast food- It's done. Finito. Finished. It is out of my life. I simply can't deal with fast food. I exercise literally no judgement when it comes time to order. And Vern is fine with it (he's trying to lose weight also.) I have tried all year to embrace the "you can eat whatever you want" lifestyle, but there are some foods I can't have in the house, period (*cough* potato chips *cough*) and now fast food has been added to the list. I'm talking meal replacement fast food- no Jack in the Box for dinner. If we're going to Red Lobster to celebrate a birthday, fine.

I will get out of this ridiculous self-imposed rut. I will. I have to. Because this lose-gain-lose-gain bullshit is over with. I want to lose 50 pounds by the end of this year, and I can do it, dammit. No more half-assing, no more excuses.

A major change is exactly what I need, and those two habits are going to certainly help on my way to even more weight loss.

Happy Monday, everyone :)

  1. Tomorrow, can you go for your walk in the evening instead of in the morning so that I can go with you after work, around 6:00?
